Thirty percent of the casualties are children. That's a horrifying, sickening statistic.
When Bush gave his final address, he said the thing he was proudest of was keeping the country safe for the last 7 years. Sort of like shutting the barn door after the beasts get out.
But more sobering, was the realization that one of the things he said was true.
That our enemies are patient. They can wait.
Fear indeed.

Yes, I am afraid, you're right painter- we damned well be afraid- of ourselves.
we create our enemies as well as most of the hysteria about them. No shock though, just needed to express.
